You.
1. First and foremost, this is your opportunity to tell us a little about yourself. Who are you?: My name is Frank, and I enjoy Science Fiction. Most people tell me that I am a decent writer and that I have a quick wit. I enjoy excersizing, playing the gee-tar, and eating beets. I enjoy reading comics and books. My favorite book right now is Pillars of the Earth by Ken Fossett, although, I'm pretty sure I just spelled his name wrong. :)
2. What are your "words to live by" and why? Everything that can go wrong, will. It's true, so I like to plan ahead. You know, get ahead of the bagel.
3. Would you consider yourself to be a modest person? Yes, I'm modest. I enjoy doing a good job, but It's stupid to tell other's about it. What do they care? I know I wouldn't.
4. If so, please forget that you are modest for a moment and brag. What are you proud of? (accomplishments, GPA's, awards, personal satisfications): I work well under pressure.
5. What are the first three things you do when you wake up in the morning & go to bed at night? The girl I'm gonna marry.
6. What do you do on a rainy day? Play World of Warcraft. If the internet gets lost, I'll go to sleep or run over to my friends and convince him to go to Albertson's to get Ben and Jerry's Coffee Heath Bar Crunch ice cream. Rock on.
7. If you could possess any talent, what would you choose? Super Strength. That would be awesome.

Opinions... PLEASE support your opinion with solid reasons as to WHY you believe what you do. If you a) don't have an opinion, or b) can't back your opinion up, you are unlikely to be accepted. We want members who are able to express their opinions and articulate the reasons why they feel the way they do.
14. Abortion:
I'm pro-choice. The bible says abortion is not right, in a round about way. But the bible isn't the law. If a person wants to get an abortion that's their perogative. It doesn't bother me either way. I don't remember anything of my growth in the womb.
15. Politics:
If you're young and not a liberal, you don't have a heart. If you're old and not a republican, you don't have a brain. I want world peace, but I know that's not going to happen. I lean more to the right and that's because I'm a logical thinker.
16. Vegetarianism/Veganism:
More meat for me. :)
17. Literacy/communication:
Everyone should be literate and able to communicate. Everyone should be able to speak a multitude of languages. Does that mean it's going to happen? No.
18. Selfishness:
If you're selfish, you deserve everything you get. Because you worked for it. Even the bad stuff.
19. Pornography:
Like Tyler Durden said, "The only real self improvement is masturbation." Pornography isn't a threat and It's not endangering anyone's health.
20. Gay rights: Gay people are people too. If they live in the U.S. then It's their right to have the same rights as everyone else. Even if some down home country senator says that it's against the word of Jesus.
21. Religion: Freedom of Religion. Believe what you want. I'll believe what I want.
22. Legalizing drugs: That's the most retarted question I've heard so far. Let's make killing yourself legal while we're at it.
23. Substance abuse: It's stupid. As the name suggests, abuse is bad. Any way you put it.

A little more detail...
24. What are your biggest pet peeves: Kid stuff, Stoners
25. Tell us a funny story: I want to die like my grandpa. In his sleep. Not like the 4 screaming people in the car that he hit.
26. Do you feel that it is more important to follow your head (logic) or your heart (intuition)? Explain: A mixture of both would be optimal. Balance is what I believe in.
27. Tell us one thing you find beautiful (it can be anything, no matter how "strange" or "unusual") and tell us why: I find a girl standing by herself waiting for someone, to be very beautiful. It's like a short story, but there's no beginning and you have to guess at what the end is going to be.
28. Tell us one thing you find revolting and why: Bones sticking out of arms. That's just, eww. Painful.
29. Tell us what your socks look like (or the last pair you wore): Long white socks. :-)
30. What question do you feel should be added to our application (Tell us the question AND THEN... answer it!):
What would you do if there were five minutes before the world exploded?
I would stab my hand. Just to see what it felt like. I'm not into that masachist stuff, but wouldn't you want to know what that felt like?
31. Did you read the rules?
Damn Straight.
32. Promote us somewhere and then link us (this is completely optional, and it will not be held against you if you don't):
33. What is something that has occurred in your life that you feel has contributed to your personality:
My discovery of the computer. :-D

Please fix your subject line, because I want to give you a yes.+ Drop Dead Gorgeous (wasn't expecting a guy to list that movie)
+ For answers that were so short, you really made an impression.

Yes ~ Mod~
+ World of Warcraft and Dungeons and Dragons.+ Your words to live by (in case you weren't aware) is Murphy's Law, which I also basically live by/believe in.
+ Good favorites. I know you got bloodlust from WoW. Mmmm bloodlust...
+ 16. That's my stance as well. Some of them hate it when you say that, hee hee.
- 22. Killing yourself is legal. Besides, loads of people kill themselves in a slow manner with alcohol and nicotine every day, and they're legal.
-- Your opinions were firm but you didn't illustrate them in much detail. As someone who is smart enough to play Wow and D&D, read Othello, and go back 10-20 or so years for music you should be able to expand your expressions better.
But you also seem to be someone who is going to get smarter as time goes on, so I'm voting yes in the hope that, if/when you're accepted you'll be more vocal as it were about your opinions.
December 1 2005, 18:15:57 UTC 6 years ago
Yes
+++ The Clash/Joe Strummer. In fact, all of the bands.+ #27
++ Movies
+ Othello
- Killing yourself is legal, so that argument for not legalising drugs didn't really hold up
- I don't like sci-fi, but whatever floats your boat.

Re: Yes
Maybe I'm under an incorrect assumption, but suicide IS illegal, is it not?December 2 2005, 14:56:42 UTC 6 years ago
Re: Yes
What are they going to do to you? If you fail they you haven't actually done it. If you succeed then there's no one left to prosecute!December 2 2005, 20:17:33 UTC 6 years ago
Re: Yes
Doesn't*And I'm seriously pretty sure it is illegal (in America). That's kind of the irony of it all.
Would it be the first time America had ridiculous laws on the books?
December 2 2005, 18:52:58 UTC 6 years ago
Re: Yes
The Church don't like it, but it's not actually illegal. At least it's not in Britain. It just used to be that you couldn't be buried in a churchyard. But now I think they've stopped that too.December 1 2005, 20:27:00 UTC 6 years ago
Yes
+ Super strength would be awesome
+ Your funny story
